Based in our purpose-built production studio in the heart of Sydney’s Surry Hills, we shoot with the latest professional cinema cameras, cutting-edge LED lighting and industry-standard equipment in a relaxed, creative environment.
Our team has decades of experience directing actors, is made up of working screen actors themselves, and includes filmmakers whose work has received multiple AACTA Award nominations.
Whether you’re after one of our affordable showreel packages or have a bold custom concept in mind, we’ll help create material that showcases your best work.
Beyond production, we’ve trained hundreds of performers through our popular Showreel Launchpad course (2022–2026), and we’re excited to launch our dedicated Screen Acting Academy in late 2026, helping shape the next generation of Australian screen talent.
JJ Splice is also one of the leading independent film production companies in Australia. Our fourth feature film is currently completing its festival circuit having screened at Sydney Film Festival, Fantastic Fest and Melbourne International Film Festival before general theatrical release later this year. Timothy thrives off the energy of the creative process, and lives and breathes performance.
Originally hailing from the sunny city of Perth, Timothy relocated to Sydney where he completed his studies at the International Film School Sydney. There he wrote and directed an impressive slate of acclaimed short films.
With stars in his eyes, Timothy immediately gravitated to blockbusters where he worked under the direction of Angelina Jolie on her debut feature as director Unbroken.
He then moved into Casting, quickly rising to Casting Director on the acclaimed Australian film Drown (in collaboration with Maura Fay Casting).
Timothy then worked with Mel Gibson on Hacksaw Ridge before accepting the role of Showreels Director at JJ Splice.
