Actor turned award-winning filmmaker Dean Francis
Dean started life as a prime-time TV actor before wanting more control of his career.
He taught himself filmmaking and achieved an MA from the Australian Film Television and Radio School (AFTRS) before directing, producing and shooting numerous feature films released right around the world.
He's taught actors and filmmakers at Australia's leading creative institutions including the National Institute of Dramatic Art (NIDA) and AFTRS.
Dean is also the founder of JJ Splice Digital, a commercial agency with clients including NSW Health, Merivale, eBay and Uber; as well as the CEO of JJ Splice Showreels, which has spotlighted some of Australia's most promising performers.
